Learning Outcomes: After completing the module, you should be able to: 1) Critically evaluate the major theoretical and empirical studies of national cultural differences assessing their impact and contributions on leading teams across international borders. 2) Critically analyse the impact of the evolving digital landscape and technology on the management and leadership of global teams and organisations to shape the global workforce for the future. 3) Analyse challenges of cultural influences on management practices and develop strategies to address multi-cultural issues. 4) Evaluate the business implications of globalisation for effective organisation design and structures. 5) (GA) Professional Skills. Work within a team, demonstrating interpersonal skills such as effective listening, negotiating, persuading and presentation. Being flexible and adaptable to changes within the professional environment. Critically evaluating and selecting the best management tools or leadership style to accomplish individual and collaborative tasks. All learning outcomes must be met to pass the module. You are required to choose a global organisation from the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry (can be the same one analysed in the presentation), or you can choose your own workplace if the organisation is in the same industry. You are required to conduct an audit of the firm's culture and practices with specific references to the way it manages and leads its global teams. The report should consider effective organisation design and development with appropriate recommendations and reference to key theories/concepts. Your organisational audit report should: Identify the challenges of cultural influences on management practices and develop strategies to address multi-cultural issues. Analyse the above identified challenges about their impact on practices and develop strategies to address multi-cultural issues. (15 marks) (LO3) management (25 marks) (LO2, LO3) Discuss the business implications of globalisation for managing cultural challenges with effective organisation design and structures. (30 marks) (LO4) Critically evaluate and select the best management tools or leadership style from the above business implications.
