Question

2. Consider a 10-meter-long flat plate at zero angle of attack. The wall temperature is kept at Tw = 1000 K. The freestream conditions are M∞ = 25, T = 220 K, p∞ = 3492 N/m² and μ∞ = 1.44 × 10-5 N·s/m². Assume a calorically perfect non-reacting gas and a linear variation of viscosity with temperature (μ x T). Calculate and plot the variation of pressure as a function of distance downstream of the leading edge for x≥ 0.15 m. Comment on the impact of viscous interaction for this case and compare it with an adiabatic wall. (30 points)
