3. Methane burns completely in an adiabatic reactor according to the reaction below: CH₂(g) +20₂(g) → CO₂(g) + 2H₂O(g) AH,(25°C) = −802 kJ/mol Methane and air enter the furnace at 25°C.

The feed rate of methane is 450 mol/s. There are 2.4 moles of oxygen gas per mole of methane in the feed. Calculate the temperature of the gases leaving the reactor. Given the following heat capacities: CH₂(g) = 0.0431 kJ/mol - °C; CO₂ (g) = 0.0423 kJ/mol - °C; H₂O(g) = 0.0343 kJ/mol - °C; O₂(g) = 0.0312 kJ/mol = °C; N₂(g) = 0.0297 kJ/mol - °C (30 marks)
