Answer- It is important to build an open communication with the families, in order to maintain an effective family-professional partnership. One of the studies done by Blue-Banning and his colleagues suggest that not only frequency, but the quality of communication is also important for the partnership (Konrad et al., 2022). Another reason for keeping an open communication with the families and parents is that they always want to know the progress of their child whether it is good or bad. There are certain ways for conducting and effective communication. Wilson has suggested five principles for maintaining an effective communication between parents and teacher which are acceptance of parent’s statements by the educators, listening to each other actively, open-ended questions from educator’s side, educators should encourage parents and conversation should focus on the child’s progress (Konrad et al., 2022).
