A device for testing components is shown in Figure Q2. The components are subjected toan acceleration of 8g, where g is acceleration due to gravity. The device is mounted on asteel post rigidly fixed to a massive concrete floor. A motor is mounted on the post asshown. The motor drives a spinning disc at the top of the post to which the equipment tobe tested is fixed at an eccentricity of 50mm to the axis of rotation of the disc.

Construct a single degree of freedom lumped mass-spring model for the system.Assume the disc mass and test mass are located at the post tip. You may neglecttorsional effects. Calculate the natural frequency wn of your model. Write down the energy principles and equations you are applying.
