A horizontal Venturi meter is used to measure the flow rate of water in a pipeline as shown in the Figure below. The meter is connected to a differential manometer

containing mercury. The Venturi meter shown has a discharge coefficient of 0.95 and throat diameter of 136mm. The pipeline has an internal diameter of 209 mm. The manometer contains mercury with specific gravity of 13.7.If the difference in mercury levels recorded is x = 281 mm, determine the flow rate Q in liters per second with one decimal place.
