Climate change is one of the biggest environmental issues in today's world, if not the biggest. In order to tackle these issues, businesses must take some actions for now and even for the future. For instance, carbon emission is the biggest contributing factor to climate change. That is why businesses must reduce their carbon emission. To do that they have to start using more and more renewable energy sources for their needs of power consumption. Companies should start using as few conventional energy sources as they can. If they continue to reduce their carbon emission even at a lower rate, then in the next decade or so, the company will feel more confident to completely shift to renewable energy sources for their power needs. Many companies including Apple Inc. and Amazon have done the same. They are 100 % carbon neutral in terms of energy sources (Howard-Grenville et al., 2014). Apart from reducing the usage of conventional energy sources and increasing the use of renewable energy sources, today's businesses can also take many steps for the present and future that will greatly contribute to the fight against climate change. One such step is to create less waste. If the companies start to create less waste in the future they will also need to use recycled materials. Both these things will help in tackling climate change. Companies need to integrate climate needs into their business strategies. It is not enough to consider climate as an outside issue. The fight against climate change should be integrated into the way companies operate (Ehrhardt-Martinez et al., 2015). For instance, climate needs must be heavily integrated into "supply chain management" so that every process of the firm happens by keeping climate issues in mind.
