Da Nwww LG1200: Assessment-Curriculum Vitae Assessment title: Curriculum Vitae Purpose: Your purpose is to write either a 'general' CV (indicating the skills your educational background or workplace(s) have provided you with) or a CV that is tailored to a future career you are hoping to enter. This work is intended to: • Give you an opportunity to pay close attention to persuasive language use and a high standard of presentation, • Develop awareness of the need to prepare for your future workplace; Prepare you for the employability project you will complete in your second year (as part of LG2200); and, Allow you to apply more easily for any roles you see whilst you are studying at university, including during the holidays, or immediately after you finish. Guidance: Your CV could begin with a general statement about you and your aspirations. You will certainly need to cover your educational background. Make your CV distinctive and as informative as possible. For more information on what you can do, see the supporting PowerPoint and handout from the Week 5 session. Presentation: Work set: Assessment Deadline: As with all the work you submit, you MUST pay attention to the specific demands of the task. You must pay attention to good writing (assignment and paragraph structure, grammar, punctuation, style, etc.), good presentation, and accurate referencing. You should ruthlessly proofread and edit your work Use a 'serious' font such as Times New Roman at 12 pts (as per this handout). Vary the line spacing and presentation, as appropriate, to present the text clearly on the page. Avoid 'standard' CV formats which may be downloaded from the Internet. Tuesday 27 February 2024 This work is a compulsory element of the assessment for the course Mon. 25 March at 12 p.m. through Turnitin (the last Monday before the Easter break)
