Google Scholar can be used to search for a scholarly paper that includes information about the curriculum or program. Find three sources to triangulate the information for this assignment. You must use a MINIMUM of three sources in this assignment. (i.e.-Pathways to Reading program, iReady Math Curriculum -- NOT a concept such as Cooperative Learning, or a model or approach such as RtI or MTSS) Look for information that would give you details about the (a) strength of evidence about the program's effectiveness, (b) effectiveness of the program for each component of the program, and (c) other information about the program that might be relevant to teaching students with disabilities. Synthesizes the information into a paper that includes the following headings: Curriculum/Program Description. Describe the curriculum/program in some detail. Include the target age group, components addressed by the program, and other program features relevant for teachers, such as materials included, how long lessons are designed to take, assessment tools included to place students in the program, or to provide data about student progress. This section should be no more than three paragraphs long. Curriculum/Program Effectiveness. Describe the strength(s) of the evidence about the program. This section should be no more two to three paragraphs long. Curriculum/Program Components. Describe what a student would learn from the curriculum, and the evidence based instructional methods for that learning. For example, does the program include explicit teacher modeling, use of workbooks, visual aids, software games, manipulatives, etc. Be sure to include information that you think might be relevant for teachers. This section should be no more than five paragraphs long. Matching Student Needs to This Curriculum/Program. Based on what you learned about the curriculum, describe the type of student that would most likely benefit from the implementation of it. Consider learning and behavioral characteristics of specific types of disabilities and/or health impairments that impact learning. This section should be no more than two paragraphs long. Reflection. Reflect on what you learned about the curriculum/program after your evaluation. This section should be no more than three paragraphs long. Data Sources.
