Form: Research paper (Word Doc + cover page + references list) uploaded to the portal The Research project should analyse and discuss a case of a current international crisis (3000 words) The aim of the research is for the student to analyse the situation of a current crisis and explore the different possible solutions for that conflict and conclude by offering recommendations. To do so the student should follow the below structure: • Introduction: The facts about the case (time, place, main events, etc...). 500 words •Direct and indirect players involved and their position about the conflict. 500 words • Different possible solutions to end the conflict: the advantages and disadvantages of each. 600 words • Framework for a best possible agreement to solve the crisis. 600 words • Analysis of how feasible your suggested solution is, and about the variables that could make it work of fail. 500 words • Conclusion: Recapitulating on main learning outcomes and presenting recommendations. 300 words The aim of this exercise is to apply all the theories studied in class about negotiations to a real-life case and as a global studies expert, suggesting a potential negotiated solution. Any writing exercise in this course is expected to strictly abide by the University and the Faculty's guidelines and plagiarism policy. The current world crises you can choose from are: 1. Sudan civil war 2. Yemen civil war 3. Syria civil war 4. Libya civil war 5. Ukraine Russia conflict 6. Armenia Azerbaijan conflict 7. South China sea conflict 8. Western Sahara conflict 9.
