The centre distance between the pulleys is 400 mm. • Find the fan speed (rpm) when the engine is idling, and its range when the car is moving forward or backward. If the engine is running at maximum power, is the belt capable of transmitting power considering the maximum allowable tension to be 30000 N? You must justify your answer. If your answer was yes, what is the maximum power that can be transmitted? If your answer was no, how many belts will be needed to transmit such power?
