Instructions Part 3 is the final presentation of the Creative Project. Each student compiles materials, research, and ideas from Parts 1 and 2 to create and complete a polished rendering of the story into 12 distinct "chapter outlines" for each of the 12 steps in the hero's journey. In addition, students must integrate and clearly label in written or visual forms the following three criteria based on course learning objectives: 1. Include at least one mythical character, object, or place from each of the following cultures [Greco-Roman, Celtic-Germanic, Pan-African, East Asian, Native American] 2. Identify one ethical theme or primal human question/quest from your story that is still relevant to human civilization today (100-150 words) 3. Briefly explain your personal interpretation of your story in relation to ONE of the following approaches to mythology covered in the course (100-150 words): ° ° Psychological - Symbols and Archetypes, Personal Identity - How does your story relate to the ways in which we human individuals can better understand our own unique identities? Sociological - Behaviors and Values - How does your story relate to the ways in which human beings operate in a social system with other human beings or how we operate according to certain social roles like mother or teacher or warrior? • Anthropological - Customs and Spiritual Beliefs - How does your story help us understand humanity's place in the universe or the larger scheme of things on a spiritual level? Or how does it help to explain certain cultural customs or social beliefs about the earth, animals, or humans? Part 3 may be submitted in document or slide show format (1000-1800 words). Conduct research to firm up details and provide a list of sources consulted in MLA or APA format. "Annotate" each source on your Works Cited list with a bullet point that indicates what information the source provided for your project.
