Definition of Research: Conducting research for the purpose of writing helps you gain authority over knowledge and join the ranks of experts. Research literally means repeat (re-): going over and (search): look through to find something. Research is a process that seeks to answer a question, to move from the known to the unknown. Seeing research as a quest for an answer makes clear that you cannot know whether you have found something unless you know what it is you are looking for. American Psychological Association (APA) format is used to document papers in the behavioral and social sciences. Please be sure to utilize this format in your research paper.
