Part A-1000 words While teaching in your own class, observe, briefly describe, and critically reflect on 2 different learning episodes that involved a student or a group of students with special education needs. (i) a learning episode where learning occurred beyond expectations. The following questions will guide your reflection on the learning episodes. What factors contributed to the success? What did you do as teacher to contribute to the success? What did the students do? Which students were involved? What evidence leads you to conclude the learning episode was a success? (ii) a learning episode that did not fulfil expectations. The following questions will guide your reflection on the learning episode: Which expectations were fulfilled, and which expectations were not fulfilled? What evidence leads you to conclude that only some learning expectations were fulfilled and not others? What factors may explain what happened? Then analyse your observations utilising the understandings developed by engaging with the contents and readings of this course to determine the significance of your chosen learning episodes.
