Problem Description: You have to design a synchronous digital circuit, a Moore machine, which operates this new type of traffic light at two types of road crossing. (A1) G1 Quiet Junction Red Green Red Amber Green Red Amber Red Busy Junction Red Green Red Amber Red Red R2 A2 (G2) Green Red Amber Red Red Red There are six traffic lights that need to be controlled: The Red, Amber, and Green lights in the North-South direction are referred to as RI, AI, GI, while those in the East-West direction are designated as R2, A2, and G2. These lights are activated when the corresponding digital signals are in the Logic-1 state; otherwise, they remain off. A digital clock signal will be provided, and with each clock pulse, the lights should change based on the specified schedule. There are two types of road crossings: quiet crossings, which follow a simple sequence, and busy crossings that require a longer (delayed green) sequence. Some junctions may switch between the busy and quiet sequences, using the busy sequence during the day and the quiet sequence at night. The junction type is indicated by a digital input signal, J, where J-0 represents a busy junction, and J-1 represents a quiet one. Consequently, a one-input, six-output synchronous system needs to be designed. Tasks to be completed include: 1. Finalize the design of the entire circuit. (4 marks) 2. Develop a testing scheme to verify the circuit's functionality, ensuring coverage of all possible inputs. (3 marks)
