A simply supported beam with a span of 7 m has a uniformly distributed load of 30 kN/m along the entire length of the beam and a concentrated moment of 70 kNm (clockwise) at 2.5 m away from support A (point C) as shown in Figure 4. Please take El=5x107 N-m2. Please do the following: (a) Obtain the reaction forces, clearly stating the direction of these. (b) Using the Macaulay's function determine the deflection and slope of the beam at point D,located 2 m away from support A, clearly stating the direction of these.
