Question3: Link budget (40pt) You are asked to choose a communication system to cover a range of 10m. You have available two bands to consider: a 400MHz WiFi band at 5.35

GHz or a 1 GHz WiGig band at 60 GHz. Consider that the WiFi band has a multipath loss of 10dB while the WiGig band has a multipath loss of 3 dB. You want to achieve a throughput of 4 Gbps at a BER of 10-3. Consider the PAPR that would be required for the different modulations that would be required to achieve the data rate. The noise figure is 6 dB in both bands. Also assume that the antenna gain (remember you have 2 antennas: one to transmit and another one to receive!) is 2 dB for 2.4 GHz but 10 dB for WiGig. Design a complete link budget for each case and provide the following information about your design:/na) What is the data modulation scheme assuming you use the full band as a channel, what is the required SNRmin? (10pt) b) What is the total path loss in dB (make sure to include antenna gain of both front ends). (10pt) c) What is the sensitivity in dBm?
