Analysis (or another structural analysis software package) to determine the structural demands on the frame. Prepare a project report that discusses the ultimate loads on the structural members as well as provides details of the design calculations. This project will comprise 20% of your course grade. You may work in teams of three, one report per group. Your report should be professionally bound. Before beginning work on this project, carefully read all parts of this assignment. 408 140 Figure 1. Elevation view of frame to be designed by your team. Your report should be professionally prepared. It should read like a continuous report, with complete sentences and correct grammar and spelling. All figures and tables included in the report should be introduced in the text and clearly labeled. The final report should include a table of contents and a title page. The final text of the report (excluding calculations and appendices) should be uploaded to Blackboard using the Project Report Turnitin link./nThe use of Excel spreadsheets to create design templates is strongly encouraged and will earn extra credit points (up to 10 pts). The Excel spreadsheet, if used, should also be uploaded to Blackboard using the Project Excel Bonus assignment link. The spreadsheet itself (not pictures of the output) must be uploaded to receive the bonus points. You must use Excel to make decisions and calculate capacities based on user input. You may not use Excel as a calculator that works for one problem only. If the template is not generalized, you will not receive the extra credit. Any level of plagiarism/copying/academic dishonesty will result in a grade of 0 being given on the design project. Any use of Al software (Chat GPT, etc.) will result in a grade of 0 being given on the design project. Every reference must be cited both in the report where it is used and at the end of the report on a reference/works cited page. Additionally, you are required to schedule an appointment for your team to complete a progress review with Dr. Bailey no later than Friday, 11/10/2023. The progress review is part of the project grade (see rubric on last page), and all team members must participate in order to receive credit.
