The first section is a company background section for the organization/company/product on which you plan to write your marketing audit (see the sample marketing plan for an example). This section must

include actual identifying information about the business including physical address, web address, social media usernames/handles. The second section should address why you have chosen the company/product and discuss how you will get the information needed to write the marketing plan. NOTE: This section is not part of the marketing plan, so you will NOT need to include it in future assignments. However, understanding your connection to your chosen topic and how you will get the information needed to complete the marketing audit will help me identify any potential issues you may have in writing the marketing plan.
