TO DO: Please submit a digital copy of both assignments.

Here are the instructions posted by the teacher for these

assignments:

"As noted in the Major Key Signature assignment, the Minor Key

Signature assignment has an example that appears to have no key

signature. No sharps or flats is a key signature, with a relative

(or parallel) minor key. Please be sure to answer it.

Another note about the minor scales assignment: On page 2, you have

key signatures for both harmonic and melodic minor scales, so

there's no need to add those accidentals. However, you do need to

add accidentals to raise or lower notes to make the scales harmonic

or melodic, so pay close attention to the key signature.

Remember, natural signs raise flats and also lower sharps, so you

must include them in your answers. And, as always, I am available

for questions and help after you've perused the notes and videos.

Remember: Natural minor scales have the same notes as their relative

Major scales no changes (except the tonic note).

Harmonic minor scales have a raised 7th only.

Melodic minor scales raise the 6th and 7th

notes on the way up and lower the 7th and 6th notes on the way down.

With melodic minor scales, you must write them in both directions

up and down because the notes change depending on which way you

are going. Harmonic and natural minor scales are the same in both

directions so no need to write them both ways."
