Your posts this week will involve exploring current research in Anthropology Initial post For your initial discussion post this week, choose one of the Anthropology academic journals listed to explore the field of Anthropology. Using the OSU Library's eJournals link, search for your journal and explore the journal's homepage. Be sure that you are signed in with your ONID ID when you access the journal. Select a research article published within the last ten years and read it. If you are unfamiliar with reading scientific papers, this might seem difficult at first, but try to grasp the main points of the article. How to Read a Scientific Paper is a helpful resource about reading scientific articles. Your first post should include the following, making sure to follow the sentence limits: A properly formatted citation in either APA, MLA, or Chicago style. Both the Purdue OWL and OSU Libraries have guidance for citation format. . A one to two sentence summary of the main conclusion or contribution of the article. . A one to two sentence summary of how the researchers came to this conclusion. Did they conduct a survey? Conduct an experiment? Excavate an archaeological site? Measure something? . A one sentence summary of the evidence the researchers used to support their conclusion. . A list of five keywords that describe the subject of the article (some articles have a list of keywords included.
