Your task is to write a 5 page critical essay using

the source readings listed below, or using additional

peer-reviewed philosophy references from the TSU

Library.

The essays must be written in MLA or SPA format,

provide proper citations for any sources used, and a

"Works Cited" or "References" page listing your

references.

Examples of a critical essay are provided as

attachments. An MLA template and a rubric are also

provided.

For this assignment, your essay can cover any of the

topics or issues that we covered in the textbook.

However, keep in mind that some of the topics can be

very broad. Be as specific as possible. One

suggested starting point is the "Readings" section

included in your textbook at the end of each chapter.

Each of the essays or readings included there is

focused on a philosophical question or idea covered

in the relevant chapter. You may wish to use the

referenced reading as a starting point for your

ideas, or you may wish to do a critical analysis of

the original reading.

You will have the responsibility of selecting two

peer-reviewed philosophy articles from the TSU

Library references.
