Your Task: • You will be writing a five paragraph 3 x 2PPA literary analysis essay in which you will explore the concept of resilience • Prepare an outline using the

handout provided before you begin the essay, so you know exactly the material you intend to cover, including quotes from the novel. • Your essay must follow proper MLA format (i.e double spaced paragraphs, good copy is typed, page numbers included in brackets, etc.). • Quotes or specific references from your book must be properly cited and directly connected to your thesis. Do not summarize the plot. Assume I have read the book. • The process of writing an essay is as important, if not more important, than the final product. You must be present and productive during the writing experience on Fri. Nov. 3, Mon. Nov. 6 & Tues. Nov. 7. Your culminating should be mostly completed during our class periods.
