1. If we have a VHS collection containing twelve movies: four classic movies, five 80's

movies and three modern blockbusters, how many ways can I arrange them on the

display shelf in the following cases?

NOTE that you don't have to calculate the final answer the correct formula with the

correct notation is sufficient. You still need to provide some reasoning/justification.

(a) There are no restrictions.

(b) All the 80's movies are together, the classics are together and the modern films

are together.

(c) I put two 80's films on the left end and three 80's films on the right end.

(d) If it turns out that three of my 80's films are indistinguishable copies of The

Breakfast Club, how many ways are there to arrange all the videos if there are

no restrictions.
