Question

2. A process stream is cooled from 45°C to 20°C in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger using refrigerated water (RW) in the tube side that enters the cooler at 5°C and

leaves at 15°C under nominal condition. Under nominal condition, there are equal resistances to heat transfer on shell and tube sides. The process stream and RW flow rates through the cooler are increased by 33% and 20% with respect to their nominal values, respectively. What would be the outlet temperatures of the process stream and RW?
