3. Chromium forms two compounds with oxygen. In one, 0.462 g of oxygen were found to

combine with 0.500 g of chromium. In another, 0.277 g of oxygen were combined with 0.600 g

of chromium. Show that these data are consistent with the Law of Multiple Proportions. Hint:

keep in mind that illustration of this Law is based on mass relationships only (not moles).
