3. (45 Pts) Cogeneration is often used in power plant turbines where steam supply is needed for industrial process energy. In such a steady-state cogeneration system shown in the figure below, a steam supply of 5 kg/s at 0.5 MPa and 155°C needed for an industrial process is extracted from the high-P turbine rather than generating this from a pump and boiler. The high-Pturbine receives a net steam supply of 20 kg/s at 10 MPa and 500°C, while exhausting the steam from the low-P turbine at 20 kPa and 90% quality to a condenser. In the process, the turbine cogenerates a net power of 18 MW.
