a) Consider the beam CG, shown below in Figure 3.1, subjected to concentrated and distributed loads at multiple locations and supported with an external pin at A and a roller at B. It is known that the vertical reaction forces at the supports at A and B are 165 kN and 125 kN, respectively,both pointing up. Calculate the internal resultant loadings (normal and shear forces, as well as the bending moment) at three locations: the middle points of segments CA, DB, and BG.
3.1b) Reconsider the beam CG, shown below in Figure 3.2. Note that the segment CA is subjected to a point load 90 kN located at 4/3 m from the free end C. The vertical reactions at A and B are the same as in part a).
