Question

a. Is it theoretically possible to boil water at room temperature?Yes, we can boil the water at room temperature. Because boiling is not just about temperature. It's about pressure also.

We have to decrease the pressure up to that extent till which the water can boil at room temperature. b. If so, will the boiling water be too hot or will it bearable (not too hot) totouch? It will be bearable. c. Explain your answers clearly. (3 points)We can decrease the boiling point using a vacuum pump (which reduces the pressure). The water temperature will be bearable because we have not changed the temperature, we have just decreased the pressure only.
