Question

A tall android is being tested for its strength. It is using both of its hands to lift a steel spherical object from the ground to a height of 7

m,holding it there for some time and releasing it.While lifting the object, it was observed that within first three second the hands' velocity changes from 0 to 6 m/s. Each hand of the android has three fingers. The sphere's radius is 5 cm and has density of 7700 kg/m3.Coefficient of friction between the object and the fingers is 0.3. Calculate how much force each finger of the android is applying while lifting the object, and thereafter how much force each finger is applying to hold it. Assume that the acceleration remains same throughout the lifting process.
