A10.8 - CAMS: Considering only these motion profile options: parabolic, simple harmonic,or cycloidal: (a) State which profile should be selected if the application requires the maximum follower velocity to be

as small as possible. (b) State which profile should be selected to minimize the presence of jerk. (c) You are tasked to design a cam that delivers a 3 inch rise over a rotation of 135°. The rise is followed by a period of dwell. The input speed of the cam is 20 rpm. Using a simple harmonic motion profile, calculate the maximum velocity (in/s), (d) the maximum acceleration (in/s²), and (e) the maximum jerk (in/s³).
