Background Boeing is the world's leading aerospace company. It designs and manufactures commercial jetliners, defense, space and security systems. The company is America's largest manufacturing exporter and supplied to more than 150 countries. Boeing products include commercial and military aircraft, satellites, weapons, defense systems etc. The company was founded in 1916 by William Boeing. Company's headquarters are located in Chicago, Illinois. The company is organised into three business units: Commercial Aircraft, Defense, Space and Security, and Boeing Global Services, which started in July 2017. Boeing Capital Corporation, which is global provider of financing solutions, supports these units. Boeing 737 MAX family aims at offering greatest flexibility, reliability and efficiency in the single-aisle market. The family has advanced flight deck, easy to operate, less maintenance, and is designed to travel far. Till now, four variants of the 737 MAX have been seen. 737 MAX 7, MAX 8, MAX 9 and MAX 10. The new series was announced in 2011, and the first maiden flight was operated in 2016. About 737 MAX 8 737 MAX 8 was the first variant developed in this series. The firm configuration for the 737 MAX 8 The series gained certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2017, and Malindo Air was the company to operate first commercial 737 MAX 8 in 2017, between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. 737 MAX 8 series carry 178 passengers with 2- class seating. The variant is designed for maximum seating of 200 passengers, and has an additional mid cabin exit. The product has shown about 14% reduction in carbon emissions and 40% smaller noise footprint.
