Consider the following reaction sequence: A + 2 B + C → D, then D + E → F Why would it be easier if E is added in excess

relative to D (i.e. D is the limiting reagent)? Why should there be at least twice as many eq of B as A. If C is a catalyst, is it OK to use less than 1.0 eq of C?
