Consider the two-bar truss shown in the figure below, subject to a concentrated load F. Both bars have the same cross-sectional area A₁ = A₂ = A. As well, 0₁ = 0₂ = 0, and the dimension L is constant. Assume the bars are made of the same material with elastic modulus E. (a) Analyze the model shown and calculate the forces and stresses in each bar (leave in terms of F, A and Theta). (b) Calculate horizontal and vertical displacements of the load point, ux and uy respectively (use virtual work). They should be in terms of F, A, Theta, L, and E.
