Create a table including all major components of the combined gas turbine and vapor power cycle to be analyzed for the semester project. For each component, you will need to

1) identify the component, 2) describe the purpose of the component, 3) describe all of the incoming energy interactions into the component, 4) describe all of the outgoing energy interactions from the component. For the energy flows include qualitative descriptions as to what types of energy interactions are occurring and also describe what types of energy are being transferred (e.g.mechanical energy, sensible energy, electrical energy, thermal energy, etc.). Four components not pictured above include the generators and motors attached to the turbines and compressors, respectively. Pump A pump is a device that moves fluids (liquids or gases), or sometimes slurries, by mechanical action, typically converted from electrical energy into Hydraulic energy. Pumps can be classified into three major groups according to the method they use to move the fluid: direct lift, displacement, and gravity pumps.[1] Turbine , converts_______into___________ Boiler (i.e., heat exchanger that heats, from liquid to vapor/gas) converts__________into__________ Condenser (i.e., heat exchanger that cools, from vapor/gas to liquid)o converts ______into__________ Generator, converts ______into__________ • Heat Recovery vapor generator Motor, converts ______into__________
