Each student will compile a notebook consisting of a single PDF document to be submitted electronically by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, 20 November 2020. The notebook will contain weekly write-ups

for a total of nine weeks (please see the dates above). Each should be related to a current engineering news event where engineers made informed decisions. For each week's "engineering news" article (take your pick from anywhere on the planet!), the ethical or professional responsibilities (i.e., the role) of the engineer should be discussed. Students will primarily be evaluated on their ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in the following contexts: 1. Global 2. Economic 3. Environmental 4. Societal
