Abstract

Our first MAC began in Hawaii in the 1970s. Several places lacked phone service. It wasn't simple for University of Hawaii academics and engineers to link smaller islands to Honolulu's main computer. Since the team ruled out laying their own cables under the Pacific Ocean, they considered wireless communication. The ALOHA protocol resulted. The talk discussed pure and slotted ALOHA. Both don't progress in time consistently, unlike the original. Each frame must fit into slots, as in slotted ALOHA. Pure ALOHA users can send data whenever they want. All collisions harm both frames. Senders must know whether this is true. In ALOHA, each station sends its frame to the master node, which rebroadcasts it to the others. A data-supplying station can listen to the hub's transmission to see if its frame was received. When a frame is lost, the sender waits before retrying. In this work, we are creating ALOHA protocol using scratch simulator in MATLAB and also analyse the performance of the ALOHA protocol.

A data-supplying station can listen to the hub's broadcast to confirm frame reception. Sender pauses before retrying after a lost frame. In this work, we create ALOHA protocol in MATLAB and analysed its performance. We have obtained the performance in terms of graph and values.
