Option 1: Share a draft outline of your research paper, including your official thesis statement and the main topics or arguments your
paper will cover (so about 3-6 topics/headings or topic sentences/claims).
Here's my sample response if I were writing a research paper about whether employers should have a say over how their employees
dress.
Option 2: Post a draft introductory paragraph that either provides helpful background information about your topic, explains what other
experts say about your topic, or that discusses your topic in some helpful way before finishing with your official thesis statement. Be sure
to start your introduction with a hook--an interesting first sentence that relates to your topic. Your introductory paragraph should be at
least 140-150 words long.
