Essay title - The Advantages and Disadvantages of Study Abroad: You will be required to write an essay based on the four attached texts and your own evaluation of these. The

assessment will take place during class under timed conditions. The essay question will be given on the day of the assessment. Task Requirements - You will have 90 minutes to complete the task (unless agreed otherwise) - The essay should be 500-700 words in total. - The essay should be written in an appropriate academic style. - You should apply the skills of critical reading and critical writing. - You should demonstrate a range of academic vocabulary. - You should demonstrate the ability to quote, paraphrase, summarise, and synthesize information appropriately. - You should use a mix of integral and non-integral citation and demonstrate a range of reporting verbs. - You may use a maximum of three direct quotations. These should be no longer than one,sentence each and must be correctly referenced. - The essay should be based on the four required texts and make appropriate reference to these according to DMU Harvard Referencing guidelines. You must use all four texts. - You will not be required to write a reference list.
