II. Build a detailed Outline using these instructions:
a. Include your name, and MLA elements:
i. Page number in header
ii. Double space, 1-inch margins, size of letter 12 pts, and font must be
either Calibri, Times New Roman, or Arial
iii. A title
b. Introduction: Write a strong thesis statement for your topic. Remember the
thesis statement is not just ONE sentence, it must include the main ideas of your
outline.
c. Body: Your outline for your body will include three subtopics. Each subtopic must
include two examples of Citation in MLA format. You must include these
examples: Direct citation, Paraphrasing, and Block citation. In total you must use:
Two direct quotations (in MLA format), Three examples of paraphrasing, and
One example of Block quotation. You can decide how you use these examples
and where you use them.
d. Conclusion: Restate your thesis statement in a different manner.
