The degree capstone is designed to be a series of deeply reflective writing exercises
that will culminate in a final project in a format that you choose. Each week you will
reflect on and write about one of the functions of a curriculum leader (during Week
#6, you will reflect on two functions). The functions are located in each Module
Overview. Each of the reflections will be assessed at the end of the course. The final
project has 80 points possible; 10 points for each reflection. You may present your
capstone in a format that utilizes technology, such as Prezi, PowerPoint, video, blog,
Canva Infographic, etc. The individual reflections will not be graded weekly, but will
be assessed at the end of this course according to the capstone rubric.
The functions for each week are as follows:
Week One, Module One: Becoming a leader of curriculum, instruction, and
assessment
Week Two, Module Two: Becoming a leader of processes
Week Three, Module Three: Becoming a leader of professional development
Week Four, Module Four: Becoming a leader of relationship building
Week Five, Module Five: Becoming a leader of performance
Week Six, Module Six (two functions): Becoming a leader of operations; becoming a
leader of change
Week Seven, Module Seven: Becoming a leader of data analysis
