It should be from an era of American History that I learned stuff that happened before WW2.

It can be about an event, person, a movement, or social condition.

It does no have to be a well known topic, but it should be historically significant. It should have changed America in some way.

It should be a topic that I think will interest people. My paper should increase the reader's knowledge in a area they already know a little about.

It should interest you. It should teach me something as well as teaching my readers
