Building a Base of Common Knowledge for children and educators

During Phase One, Early Childhood Educators build a basis of common knowledge

among the children and educators. It assures that all children have the knowledge base

and prior learning necessary to benefit from the in-depth investigation of Phase Two.

This also ensures that educators understand the aspects of the topic that interest the

children and allow the educators and children to learn about the topic together.
