Question

Problem 3 In an experiment, a 12.5 m long wire which has a radius of 2.0 mm is found to increase in length by 5.4 cm, if it is heated

from 10 to 120 °C.In another experiment, this wire is stretched between very rigid supports while at 0 °C, such that it is just taut (stretched with zero tension). When this wire is cooled to -50 °C we find that the tension induced in the wire is 4100 N. Calculate wire material's Young's modulus.
