Answer a- : The company has launched a program named High-performance work system for assessing the performance of their employees; through this performance assessment, they can know about high-potential employees who must be highly qualified and have an adequate degree of work experience. Lack of fairness in performance management is one of the most critical issues because companies have some biasness in their performance management technique. For example, when the employees are rated by their coworkers about their workers, the chances of biasness or falseness can be increased automatically. Position or status gap between top and lower level employees creates huge issue in succession planning because it has been noted that the employees at lower level get less chances to grow compared to employees at the top level. Lack of awareness among employees about their performance measurement and succession planning status creates a huge issue because when employees do not know that their work is assessed for further promotions, they can not get the appropriate chance to perform better. Preference to external talents at top-level jobs instead of promotion to lower level becomes a big issue in succession planning. Answer b - : There should be many factors that must be considered while adopting diversity management in a company. Two of them are explained below- - Different needs, perspectives and social behaviour of people when the company have employees from different cultures. - Recruitment, selection and development of employees from different regions or cultures through their positive or negative contribution to the company.
