Answer 3a : A company's performance management system needs to adopt a high degree of fairness, as all stakeholders need a true and fair performance analysis. If we consider a company's internal stakeholders, then there is an immense need to understand their needs, abilities and capabilities before making any judgement about them. - There must be a performance appraisal system for all employees so that no employee can find themselves under biasness. The rating scale for all employees must be the same, so they can get equal chance to be assessed truly. There is a need to adopt some accurate performance appraisal system through which the performance of employees can be measured based on their work and productivity. - The company must set up standard work, standard work time and standards for products that, based on these standards, affect the performance of the employees can be measured. The employees who can meet standards must be assessed as good achievers. The employees who do not meet up with laid down standards must be assessed as target losers to get motivation from their failure to meet the target. And employees who achieve more than the laid down standards must be assessed as extraordinary achievers. Different ratings given to employees according to their ability to achieve standards will help them to do better in future. - There is a need to implement some motivational tools for employees to get the motivation to perform better. For example, the company can launch some monetary and non-monetary benefits for employees to perform better to get such rewards. Also, there must be a punishment policy for employees who achieve less and continuously fail to achieve targets; they have to face some punishments for their negligence or delay in work. Answer 3b : Many other human resources strategies could help an organization with effective performance management, such as- - The company must implement a peer system for ranking various employees for their coworkers and subordinates. Then, when the employees have some guess that their coworkers and subordinates will play an essential role in their succession planning or rewards, they will work with more coordination and do every work more actively. - The efficient outcome of training is that some employees learn very quickly, and others cannot adopt all training outcomes. - There is a need to present effective succession planning to employees so that they can be motivated through their promotional strategies.
