Various properties of the waves in these coordinate systems are represented by certain specific functions, which we arrive at during the solution. 1. Write the functions which represent the solution of Maxwell's equations in the following coordinate systems: a. Rectangular coordinate? b. Cylindrical coordinate? c. Spherical coordinate? 2. What is the fundamental difference between plane-waves, cylindrical-waves and spherical-waves,and which analytical functions are used to represent them? Also write the terms that represent the approximate distance and phase variations for these three cases.
