Comment on the important effects of the relevant errors.

Task 2 The importance of editing and proofreading is often considered to be not so important. But, the added value it offers on top of the document written by a writer is very significant. Editing and proofreading help a student to fix the small mistakes in the academic document and produce an error-free paper where paper can be considered complete and accurate. Sometimes, a little bit of editing can help to make a document good to very good. A writer needs to edit and proofread her or his document before sharing as there are plenty of advantages to doing the same. Editing is very important for the overall structure, clarity, style, citations, etc., whereas, proofreading can reduce mistakes by eliminating fragments, misspelled words, slang, run-ons, etc (DAFFERN, 2017). Editing and proofreading will help a paper to maintain an academic structure. A good structure of every paragraph will create a sync between them which will in turn help to complete the document with very less to no errors. Maintaining the outline of the document will help here. Similarly, editing and proofreading the documents also allows the writer to make everything clear to the reader (Gastel, 2015). He or she might use long explanations, key terms, etc. and it is always a good idea to recheck if those things are clear while reading. The use of unnecessary words and sentences can also be reduced to make it more compelling and concise. Thus, editing documents helps to keep them clear and compact. Likewise, style is also a very important aspect of any paper. Editing and proofreading help in this aspect as well. Things like using a particular tone throughout the document, maintaining the same structure as instructed, etc. can be achieved by editing (Azeez & KOY45, 2020). Another very important thing about any academic document is the use of correct citations. It is always a good idea to proofread the document to avoid any citation mistakes. Sometimes, students forget to cite quotes and a quick proofread can fix that mistake. It is also not easy to remember different styles of citations in APA or Harvard which might result in citation errors. Proofreading the document once will help the writer to eliminate such silly mistakes (Zhu et al., 2017). While talking about proofreading alone, it is also very crucial for the writer to proofread the document as many times as possible before publishing or sharing. It brings accuracy to the table. Proofreading is not just about fixing misspelled words or adding commas in the document. Firstly, it helps the writer to reduce any use of unnecessary slang and jargon from the paper to make it more acceptable to all types of readers or listeners. Also, reducing fragments and run-ons from the document can make it stand out from others (Chromik, 2002). It is very important to reduce the errors in a document so that it can properly appeal to the target audience.
