The specific phrases from ‘The Hymn to Aten’ which reflected the regeneration and regulation are as follows: “You have placed seed in woman and have made sperm into man, who feeds the son in the womb of his mother, who quiets him with something to stop his crying; you are the nurse in the womb, Giving breath to nourish all that has been begotten. When he comes from the womb to breathe On the day he is born, You open up his mouth completely and supply his needs.” (The great hymn to the Aten) “When the fledgling in the egg speaks in the shell, You give him air inside it to sustain him. When you grant him his allotted time to break out from the egg, He comes out from the egg to cry out at his fulfillment, And he goes upon his legs when he has come forth from it.” (The great hymn to the Aten) The first of the two phases mentioned above talks about the regeneration of life as well as the regulation of it. It describes the phase of life, how a human being is born and how the Sun-disk deity Aten is the one who regulates child’s life after birth by supplying for all the needs. Similarly, the second phase describes the regeneration and regulation of life by describing the process of life generating out of the egg. Akhenaten ‘s prayer to Aten, though emphasizes stability and security, was considered threatening to conservative Egyptian values because Akhenaten banned the worship of all other deities, which was a radical shift from the century’s old cultural practices' a way, his hymn to the Aten and subsequent banning of worshiping of other gods was seen as the way to destroy the conservative values of the Egypt and that is why it faced opposition from the priests.
