Question

Two different polymeric materials were used for tensile testing: PolyLactic Acid (PLA) and Acrylonitrile

Butadiene Styrene (ABS). Elastic modulus values of the 3D printed specimens calculated using the tensile

test results are given in Table 1.

1) For each material

(a) average deviation, standard deviation, standard error

(b) relative uncertainty based on standard deviation

2) Present the results of your calculations in a table.

3) Include and discuss error bars in all graphs and in all calculation results (+/-ranges)

4) Do your measurements agree within their uncertainties?

5) Do your results differ from any available reference data? Is this within error? (Find

published data).

6) List all assumptions and sources of error (systematic or random).
